New Members Welcome
Membership Information
Membership in Lake Yosemite Sailing Association (LYSA) allows you to participate in all LYSA activities including attending monthly meetings, voting, racing, receiving the monthly newsletter, and participating in other activities such as potlucks, fun sails, and overnight sailing trips. You do not have to know how to sail to join LYSA. You don’t even have to own a boat. Crewing on a sailboat is an excellent way to learn to sail. We also have members whose primary interest is kayaking on the lake. The lake is an irrigation and flood control reservoir which means the water level is at sailing levels from the first of May until end of September most years. Kayaking can be done year round.
To join, simply download an application below and send it to the address on the form along with the membership ($120) and initiation ($75) fees. All prospective members should attend a regular club meeting after submitting their application. The club would like you to personally introduce yourself and learn to know a bit about you before approving your application for membership.
