Who we are
Lake Yosemite Sailing Association (LYSA) is a social club that began in 1988. We are a group of individuals that enjoy being on or by the lake and that commonality is what draws us together. We are a non-profit, volunteer organization supported by our membership dues and fundraising efforts. We are contracted with Merced County to manage dock leasing and maintenance for the docks at Lake Yosemite, which is owned and operated by Merced Irrigation District. This website allows LYSA to share with the public and our members information about the LYSA and our activities. Some areas of the website have restricted access for LYSA members only.
When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website. Uploading of copyrighted images without the consent of the copyright owner is expressly prohibited and the uploader is liable for any damages caused by such use of LYSA resources.

How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users that register on our website (limited to LYSA members), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information. User profile information is visible to other LYSA members, but is not displayed publicly.
What rights you have over your data
